Psychometabolism
A psion who specializes in psychometabolism is known as an egoist. This discipline consists of powers that alter the psion’s psychobiology, or that of creatures near him. An egoist can both heal and transform himself into a fearsome fighter.
- Metabolic Healing (Su): At 2nd level, as long as you maintain psionic focus, you gain fast healing 1 when you manifest any psychometabolism power on yourself.This fast healing lasts for a number of rounds equal to the level of the power manifested. The fast healing increases by 1 for every four psion levels thereafter.
- Shared Effect (Su): At 8th level, any time you manifest a psychometabolism power with a range of personal, you may pay an additional 4 power points to have it affect two additional creatures touched. These additional power points count as an augment for the power and the manifestation is still limited by the normal manifester level cap. A power augmented in this fashion can affect an additional creature every four psion levels thereafter. The fission power may not be shared in this fashion.
- Resilient Body (Su): At 14th level, once per day as an immediate action, you may negate a critical hit that would have hit you, and instead receive normal damage.
- Infused Form (Su): At 20th level, you gain DR 5/- and are treated as always under the effect of adapt body.
Discipline Powers
1st Level
- Biodefense: Gain power resistance against psychometabolism effects
- Bioweaponry: Convert your limbs into weapons of bone.
- Clamber: Gain +10 bonus to Climb checks and opposed disarm checks.
- Conceal Psychometabolism: Effects cannot detect changes to your form from psychometabolism effects.
- Corrosive Aura: Surround yourself with a mist of acid that damages nearby creatures.
- Metamorphosis, Minor: Change your physical form to a minor degree.
- Natural Healing: Heal 3 hit points of damage.
- Thicken Skin: Gain +1 enhancement bonus to your AC for 10 min./level.
2nd Level
- Animal Affinity: Gain +4 enhancement to one ability.
- Chameleon: Gain +10 enhancement bonus on Hide checks.
- Empathic Transfer: Transfer another’s wounds to yourself.
- Overload Biotemplate: Enemy becomes fatigued.
- Resist Toxin: Your body becomes temporarily immune to poison.
- Will of Iron: Pain becomes meaningless as your will overcomes physical limitations.
3rd Level
- Allergic Overdrive: Cause the target’s immune system to attack itself.
- Biokinetic Boost: Gain bonus on natural attacks and increase your movement speed.
- Ectoplasmic Form: You gain benefits of being insubstantial and can fly slowly.
- Hustle: Instantly gain a move action.
- Physical Acceleration: You move faster, gain +1 on attack rolls, AC and Reflex saves.
- Psychoforming: Manipulate your body to change appearance, scare enemies or escape restraint.
- Metamorphosis: Change your physical form.
- Sickening Touch: Target becomes sickened.
4th Level
- Hide Body: Hide one creature within the body of another.
- Psychic Drain: Touch attack drains 2 power points/level from foe.
- Psychometabolic Parasite: Touch attack causes parasite to burrow into subject’s body and relate information to you
5th Level
- Multitasker: Gain an extra swift action per round or +2 on Reflex saves if it is not used.
- Psionic Revivify: Return the dead to life before the psyche leaves the corpse.
- Psychofeedback: Boost Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution at the expense of one or more other scores.
- Restore Extremity: Return a lost digit, limb, or other appendage to subject.
6th Level
- Cleanse Spirit: Restores level and ability score drains.
- Expose Weakness: Cause a creature to become clumsy.
- Metamorphosis, Greater: Radically change your physical form.
7th Level
- Ecstatic Agony: Gain a bonus to attack and damage rolls when you take damage, but suffer a penalty to Dexterity.
- Fission: You briefly duplicate yourself.
- Harmonize: Pyschometabolism powers affecting yourself can affect another target
8th Level
- Fusion: You combine your abilities and form with another.
9th Level
- Metamorphosis, True: Gain incredible versatility in shapeshifting.
- Regenerative Aura: Heal all creatures within range for 25 hit points per round (max 250 hit points).
