Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A sohei is proficient with all simple and martial weapons and with all armor (heavy, medium, and light), but not with shields.

Ki Pool (Su): At 1st level, a Sohei gains a pool of ki points, supernatural energy which she can use to accomplish amazing feats. As long as the sohei has at least 1 ki point in her ki pool, she gains a +4 bonus on all Will saves.

The number of points in a Sohei's ki pool is 4 + the sohei's wisdom modifier. Whenever the sohei gains a level, she gains 2 additional ki points.

The ki pool is replenished each morning after 8 hours of rest or meditation; these hours do not need to be consecutive.

Ki Frenzy (Su): By spending 1 ki point as a free action, the sohei may enter a Ki Frenzy. In this frenzied state, she gains a +2 bonus to Str, a +2 bonus to Dex, a +10 foot bonus to movement speed and a -2 penalty on attack rolls. While she is in a ki frenzy, she gains an additional attack at her highest base attack bonus. The sohei may spend an additional ki point each round to prolong her ki frenzy, however once she stops doing so, she is fatigued for a number of rounds equal to twice the ki points spent on her frenzy.

Weapon Focus: At 1st level a sohei gains Weapon Focus as a bonus feat.

Will of the Heavens (Su): At the second level a Sohei gains a bonus equal to her Wisdom bonus (if any) on all saving throws.

Deflect Arrows: At 3rd level a sohei gains Deflect Arrows as a bonus feat, even if she does not meet the requirements. A sohei must use a weapon to deflect arrows unless she also has Improved Unarmed Strike.

Burst of the Divine (Su): Beginning at 4th level, a sohei may unleash a bit of her inner radiance. By spending 1 Ki point as a swift action, the sohei momentarily glows with a brilliant light. All creatures within 10' the Sohei must make a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 the sohei's level + the sohei's Wis modifier) or take a -2 penalty on attack rolls and AC for 1 round.

Spells: Beginning at 4th level, a Sohei gains the ability to cast a small number of divine spells, which are drawn from the Sohei spell list. To prepare or cast a spell, a Sohei must have a Wisdom score equal to at least 10 + the spell level. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a Sohei’s spell is 10 + the spell level + the Sohei’s Wisdom modifier.

Sohei Spells

Until a sohei reaches 4th level she has no caster level, starting at 4th level, her caster level is equal to her sohei level.

Mana: Starting at 4th level, a sohei has an amount of mana that she uses to cast her spells as shown on the table above. Half of this mana (rounded down) is the sohei's "open pool" and may be used to cast spells freely. The other half is the sohei's "reserve pool". When any points from the reserve pool are used to cast a spell, the sohei must make a Will save (DC 10 + the amount of mana missing from the reserve pool) immediately after the spell resolves or suffer a level of fatigue.

A sohei gains a bonus amount of mana equal to her Wisdom modifier.

Casting a spell costs an amount of mana equal to the spell's level.

A sohei's entire mana pool is replenished after 8 hours of rest or meditation.

Eldritch Dissonance: Casting the same spell more than once in a single day becomes increasingly difficult for the sohei due to the residual energy left on her aura as a result of channeling divine energies. Whenever a sohei casts a spell for the second time in a day she must pay an additional amount of mana equal to the spell's level for each other time she has cast that particular spell in the same day.

Eldritch Dissonance disappears after 8 hours of rest or meditation.

Diehard: At 5th level, the sohei gains Diehard as a bonus feat, even if she does not meet the requirements.

Strength of Mind: Beginning at 5th level, the Sohei is immune to the stunned condition and all sleep spells and abilities.

Improved Trip: At 6th level a sohei gains Improved Trip as a bonus feat.

Defensive Strike (Ex): Starting at 7th level, a sohei gains an additional benefit when using the total defense action. If an opponent misses the sohei with a melee attack while she is using the total defense action, on her next round she gains a +4 bonus to hit that opponent.

If multiple foes miss her, she gains the bonus against each foe. If the same foe misses her with more than one attack, she gains an additional +1 to hit for every miss after the first.

Walk Upon the Clouds (Su): At 8th level, a sohei may spend 2 ki points as a free action to gain a fly speed equal to her land speed with perfect maneuverability. She must begin and end her movement upon solid ground. If she is not on solid ground, she may not activate this ability. If she is forced to end her movement while not on solid ground, she immediately falls.

Aiki Swing (Su): As a standard action, a 9th level sohei may make a single melee attack against every foe that she threatens. She must spend an amount of Ki points equal to the number of foes that she threatens, if she does not have enough Ki, then she cannot use this ability.

Banishing Strike (Su): At 10th level, a sohei may spend 1 ki point when she hits with a melee attack to subject her target to a //dismissal spell. The DC is 10 + 1/2 the Sohei's level + the Sohei's Wis modifier.

Damage Reduction (Ex): At 11th level, a sohei gains Damage Reduction. Subtract 1 from the damage the sohei takes each time she is dealt damage from a weapon or a natural attack. This ability improves every 2 Sohei levels thereafter (14th, 16th, 18th and 20th level), this damage reduction rises by 1 point. Damage reduction can reduce damage to 0 but not below 0. A Sohei's damage reduction is doubled during her Ki Frenzy.

Improved Ki Frenzy (Su): Starting at 12th level, a sohei's Ki Frenzy bonuses increase to +4 Str, +4 Dex and +20' movement speed.

Whisper of the Heavens (Su): At 13th level, once per day, a sohei may spend one hour in meditation to listen to the whispers of the spirits around her. This functions as a commune/ spell with a caster level equal to the Sohei's level.

Harmonizing Strike (Su): At 15th level a sohei may attempt to dispel a spell or spell-like ability affecting one target. After making a successful melee attack, she may spend 2 ki points to affect the highest level spell or spell-like ability affecting her target with dispel magic.

Aura of Purity (Su): At 16th level a sohei gains Spell Resistance equal to 8 + her Sohei level.

Aiki Whirlwind (Su): At 18th level, when using her Aiki swing ability, the sohei may attack twice at her highest base attack bonus.

Will of the Heavens (Su): At 19th level, a sohei may spend 10 ki points to call upon the intervention of the spirits. This functions as a miracle spell with a caster level equal to the Sohei's level. Any save DC needed by this spell is 10 + 1/2 the Sohei's level + the Sohei's Wisdom modifier.

Body and Soul (Su): At 20th level the sohei's body and soul merges with the spirit world. Her type changes from humanoid to outsider. She no longer needs to spend Ki points on her Walk Upon the Clouds ability, the bonuses from her Ki Frenzy ability increase to +6 Str, +6 Dex and +30' movement speed, furthermore she is no longer fatigued after using Ki Frenzy.
